The Mile, presented by Pacesetter Sports, will be held on Saturday, July 4th at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium.
The Mile takes place on July 4th every year. The race starts 1 mile north of the Stadium, on Brown Blvd and finishes by the Stadium grounds. Proceeds from the event fund the Lace it Up Kids Running Program of the Wabash Valley Road Runners.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
+Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration: 7 a.m.
*Please plan your arrival & bib pickup to allow enough time to reach the start line in time for your heat.*
1st heat: Females @ 8 a.m. (only one heat for female runners)
2nd heat: Males @ 8:30 a.m. (only one heat for male runners)
3rd heat: Walkers and Kids Running Program @ 9 a.m.
Any participants in the 1st and 2nd heat that plan to participate in the 3rd heat with the Kids Running Program MUST remove their bib prior to crossing the start line in the 3rd heat. Wearing your bib will overwrite your time from the 1st and 2nd heat. Adjustments to times will not be made.
Awards will be given; including overall awards, age group awards, and walker awards. The change in heats does not change the awards. Awards are based on 5-year age groups. Awards range from 1 to 3 per age group. There are also walker awards that are not age based. The number of walker awards will be based on the number of pre-registered walkers and will be awarded based on the first walker across the finish line and so on. IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AS A WALKER, PLEASE DO NOT RUN! We have competitive walkers who work hard to win the race and it wouldn’t be fair for a someone to run part of the race and beat out a competitive walker who walked the complete event.
