The Wabash Valley Road Runners are pleased to announce that the 2018 WVRR scholarship winners are Phillip Gorell from Marshall High School and Brooke Stateler from West Vigo High School.
Congratulations to both of our recipients!
Each year we ask the following of our applicants on the form:
- Fully completed student information section
- Counselor information section to be completed by a school counselor.
- A copy of a high school or college transcript.
- A copy of your SAT or ACT scores.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation: 1 from your high school or college
track or cross country coach or running club representative; 1 from a
teacher in your high school or college; 1 from a non-family member of the
community in which you reside. - A personal essay of 400-500 words describing why you should receive this
scholarship. The essay should include how running has impacted your life,
your life goals and why this scholarship would be helpful to you.
