LINCOLN TRAIL CLASSIC - September 16, 2006

The 30th running of the Lincoln Trail Classic took place Saturday, September 16, 2006 as part of the festivities surrounding the annual Autumn Fest in Marshall, Illinois. The over-all male and female winners were Justin Snider of Marshall, Illinois with a time of 16:01 and Menzie Maurer, of Marshall, Illinois with a time of 20:05. The winners were presented a gold medal and a gift certificate from Pacesetter Sports. In addition to the run, a two-mile walk and one-mile fun run took place. Over 100 participants were registered for this year's LTC.

Over 60 runners registered for the 5K (3.1 mile) course that ran through the city streets of Marshall. Proceeds from this year's Lincoln Trail Classic will support of the efforts of the 400 Meter Club.
