The Twenty-Fifth running of the Lincoln Trail Classic took place Saturday, September 15, 2001 in Marshall, Illinois as part of the festivities surrounding the annual Autumn Fest. The over-all male and female winners were Mike Farrell, age 29, of Belleville, Illinois with a time of 15:35 and Megan McKee, age 19, of Brazil, Indiana with a time of 22:03.
