5K Run & 2-Mile Walk

Course: Paved city streets with a few hills.

Location: Main entrance of the Martinsville Fairgrounds, Martinsville, IL, which is located on the Angling Road, approximately three miles south of I-70.

Times: Race Day Registration

7:00 to 7:45 a.m.

Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.

Run starts at 8:15 a.m.

Cost: Preregistration $10

Race Day $12

Age Groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Both male and female

Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners and to the top two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners).

Food and refreshments will be provided following the race.

WAIVER

I know that running, walking and volunteering to work in races are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk. I assume all risks associated with running, walking and volunteering in races including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Martinsville Agricultural Fair Association, Inc., and its officers, directors, agents and employees, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this activity even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
