The Half Marathon derives its name from the Blues Fest that occurs the same weekend as the race, along with the starting area of the race which begins near what was the original "Crossroads of America" at 7th and Wabash in downtown Terre Haute.

After starting downtown, the course will travel along historic Ohio Boulevard,

the course will turn north onto Brown Avenue

traveling along the "Indiana Trail" around ISU's Memorial Stadium,

 along the Heritage Trail,

→

 The course continues along the Heritage Trail to the Jones Trail Head at Chamberlain Road. Runners will then return to Terre Haute via the Heritage Trail, finishing at 10 1/2 Street and Sycamore Street near the Indiana State University campus.
