TRAINED IN TERRE HAUTE

Training for Spring 2025 Half Marathons

The training season in 2025 will be our 26th year of serving the community through the TNT program. This program has introduced so many to the joys of fitness, health and friendship through running and walking. We at WVRR are proud of the opportunity you give us each year and hope that you join us! In 2025 our membership program will include half marathon training, in person or virtual. The half marathon training includes coaches for all levels (walker, beginning, intermediate and advanced). The 2025 WVRR membership includes a discount on select half marathons.

Meet Your Coaches

Sue Cass - Walking Coach

When I joined WVRR/TNT I was looking for something different to do. I had never entered a race or walked that much but I decided to try one year. I have never stopped. When people say they could never do the races I tell them I didn’t think I could either. I just took it one mile at a time and soon was surprised to find I could do it! You don’t have to be a runner, you don’t have to be fast, you just have to want to do your best and enjoy. I became a coach and enjoy meeting & working with the walkers. Age does not matter, if it did I would not be in the group! I cannot say how many friends I have made. I look forward to meeting and walking and I feel you will never want to quit once you start! What better way to help stay healthy than walking! Try it, you’ll like it!!

Scott Isles - Beginner Coach

I am Scott Isles your beginner coach. I have been involved in Wabash Valley Roadrunners for 14 years. I was never a runner and thought running a half marathon sounded like a real challenge and would be a cool thing to do. Here I am 14 years later and can’t imagine running not being part of my life. Joining up with us is a life changer. Not only do you meet other great runners, but you get healthier at the same time there is nothing else like it. Come join the beginners, we conquer one mile at a time, take our weekly photo and I can tell you about meeting my wife right here training. And throw in some stories of the great races you have to look forward to.

Danny Dubois - Intermediate Coach

Our Advanced/Advanced Intermediate coach is West Terre Haute native Danny Dubois. he has been running for 40+ years and this is his seventh year coaching TNT.

Adam Pomfret - Intermediate Coach

Adam Pomfret has been running for about 13 years and enjoys motivating others to run.  He has more than 20 years of professional experience as a physical therapist with an emphasis on spine, orthopedics, and sports. Adam has a keen interest in keeping runners running safely.  The abilities of his fellow WVRR coaches motivate him to improve as a runner & coach.  Always looking for an opportunity to learn something new and challenge himself, he earned the designation as an RRCA Level I running coach in 2019.  He is hoping to make TNT a rewarding experience for everyone. .

Brian Shober - Advanced Coach

I started running in 2016 and in 2017 I wanted to get faster so I joined TNT. That year I took over ten minutes off my half time and made some great friends. I started coaching in 2019 and loved it. Helping people work hard and achieve there goals is a big motivation for me to continue to be a coach.
